Now whoooo wants to see some phantasmagorical photos of the???? American Wiiild West????? For the last one week, we have been chasing sunrises and sunsets????,milky ways???? and mountain mists???? , petrified deserts and petroglyphs????aaaand some goblins too (wink wink????) ... Buuut before we savor the sheer cosmic poetry of the sensual southwest????, I want to share something with y’all. A special edition of #pinkpositivelight and #socialmediabadasstribe combined, with(out????) further ado presenting ???? “LIVE AND LET LIVE” ???? Not a shocker was it????? But then why oh why is this concept way harder than rocket science for a few ?? ... "LIVE AND LET LIVE" can also be translated as “TO EACH THEIR OWN". To me, it means everyone in this cosmos ? has a darn right to make decisions to affect their life as long as it is not mentally or physically hurting others in a purposeful manner.?? ... Now for some reason, God knows why??????? some people love to pelt passive aggressive words and berate and hate others in public.??????? I agree, there is no point in actively following folks who are not our cup of joy, but it does not give any of us a right to be hurtful to them and propagate hate.? ... Now kindly allow me to put it in another way. LIFE IS SHORT people. Like reallllyyy short.?? Honestly, I am not promised tomorrow and this pink haired girl wants to live her teeny life twirling????with the people she loves and swirling??her wand to get to her goals and dreams. She doesn't wanna waste it having anxiety attacks cos of cyberbullying and planning agendas on how to ruin someone’s day.???? ... HOW DO YOU DEFINE FEMINISM?In the light of #internationalwomensday2018, I would love to know what are the thoughts which run amok in your head when you hear the word “feminism”? ???????? ... Gender equality and breaking stereotypes based on patriarchy is something I revisit in my #pinkpositivelight from time to time(Oh, hello there, Wonder Woman and Fearless Girl!???????)The fact that there are STILL a few people out there who judge and cringe at the word “feminism” and also those who “casually” remark how feminists do everything for “attention” makes me wanna throw up y’all! ???? So TODAY for #IWD2018, I am embarking on a project, a project to create an awareness that being a feminist DOES NOT mean you must mandatorily ??burn bras ??hate men ??post pics of menstrual blood ??have hairy hands etc. etc. All these are individual choices and whether you want to do it or not has got no compulsory connection with feminism, at least for me and a few feminist friends of mine which includes Vishnu too???? ... Vishnu and I, we define feminism as ?? ????Looking out for fellow “Badass Belles” all over the world,to make sure their choices and voices are accepted and respected reasonably. ?? ????To question patriarchal perceptions and create a brand-new society which follows rules of happiness and equality, rather than stereotypes and conventions. The age-old quandary, “How can I harmonize family life and career?” should be confronted by men and women EQUALLY. ?? ????To raise daughters and sons the same way, so that they can stand up for what they believe in and embrace their individuality. Less “wish upon a star” and more “build the foundation” for their dreams???? ?????? Aaaand if you want a punch line, here you go? ????Feminism for us is giving women the wings ???? to dream and dare to achieve what humans with a pe**s can do. ... Sometimes I wish I had spells to make my mental health problems go away too.????But there are ways which *almost* works like a spell???? and what’s awesome is that YOU get to be the ??????? witch/wizard here ??????? … Before you attempt the spells know that, our brains ???? bewitch??us that if we open up about our struggles to you,it is going to be a huge burden and you may even stop loving us.????So, we go and happily lay our souls bare to strangers which I must say sometimes works out well???? but can also lead to MAJOR TOXIC ?? relationships. ... Sajnaaa Kya Ye Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai ???? ???????? ???? ... Vishnu and I grew up watching a LOT of Bollywood and @iamsrk and @kajol is one of our daaarling on-screen pairs everrrr.????When we planned White Sands NPS, I knew I had to get an SRK-Kajol inspired Bollywood Dance pose in a Designer Saree ???? and here you go. But can you tell I am burning with a 105-degree flu ????and was actually balling my eyes out ???? just a few minutes back as I lost something forever with a ginormous sentimental value? #realitycheck ... Anyhoo, a faaav dialogue of ours, by the King of Bollywood @iamsrk never fails to give us goosebumps even for the bajillionth time when we hear those words of wisdom.?The lines read ???? “Kehte hain ki…..Filmon ki tarah hamari zindagi mein bhi End mein, sab theek ho jaata hai..Happyssss Endingssss..Aur agar theek naa ho, toh woh The End nahi hai dostoo, Picture abhi baaki hai…..” #OmShantiOm ???? ... Sooo tis’ no secret that I have always admired and aroused by women who dare to stand out in the crowd just by being themselves????You know the passionate ones????who “do their thing” no matter what curve balls the society throws at them, the driven ones????who venture on their wildest dreams,and whether they are rule makers or rule breakers, what they all have in common is, they stand darn true to themselves and their ideals????and don’t act anything less than what they are, just for the society to “accept” them.???? ...
