The Amazon Rain Forest is on Fire
At times we just don’t pay attention to issues that can later result in severe consequences. Till now, people were not aware about what is going on in Amazon Rain forest but recently the hashtag #PrayForAmazonia went viral and shocked everyone.
The most important forest of the World which produces 20% oxygen to us is burning from last 3 weeks and no attention to it has been given.
#ICantSleepBecause The Amazon has been burning for 3 weeks, and I’m just now finding out because of the lack of media coverage. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ECOSYSTEMS ON EARTH. SPREAD AWARENESS #PrayforAmazonia . Let's save it. Retweet to spread the information. pic.twitter.com/N5MhWz5DDp

The INPE findings showed the Amazon “lost 739sq km during the 31 days [of May], equivalent to two football pitches every minute.”
The number of forest fires in the Amazon Rainforest in #Brazil is up 82% from last year. The fires are purposely set by ranchers to clear land. They then burn out of control. The Bolsonaro govt has eliminated restrictions on burnings. This must be stopped! #PrayforAmazonia. RT pic.twitter.com/cAyUlqjdRz

Robert Maguire, research director at U.S. government watchdog group Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility in Washington also tweeted on this matter.
The Amazon rainforest has been on fire for weeks, and it's so bad it's literally blotting out the sun miles away https://t.co/oDjcECJVgp

Check out the people's reactions on it here:
that’s true, but the president here don’t care about amazon, some people that support him, put fire in others florest in south of Brazil saying that “was the day of fire”, just to show the president what they can do, the president don’t say nothing about and Amazon is burning

Forest fires do happen naturally but most of these fires were probably started by ranchers or companies responsible for deforestation. Also, a fire of this magnitude is also emitting a ton of Carbon Monoxide.

The Amazon rainforest has been burning for 3 weeks! We are on the verge of losing it completely if the fire isn't put out.

Skies are raining plastic
And now the lungs of our Earth are burning
I fear by the time we get a consensus on the climate emergency it will be too late
We ALL contribute to this mess. It's OUR PLANET.

Not China
Not US
Not EU
We all let this happen.
We all need to take responsibility.
Placing blame solves NOTHING. It's exactly how WE got here.
