Rules Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Broke During their Wedding

Royal Weddings are have a strict code of conduct, much like their daily lives. The Royal set of traditions are followed since generations and not much has changed. However, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan broke many a royal tradition. From cake to flowers here is everything that was done without following any royal protocol:
1. A divorced girl has never become a Royal bride.
2. Prince Harry and Meghan did not follow the tradition of kissing on the Buckingham Palace Balcony. They both kissed in front of the crowd and cameras.
3. Usually before wedding day the Royal couple spends their night at Royal residences. But, Harry and Meghan chose to stay in separate hotels.
4. Royal wedding cakes are multi-tiered and rich fruit filled cakes with white icing but, Harry and Meghan went for lemon and elderflower cake covered with buttercream.
5. In all the Royal Weddings bridesmaids and the page boys are supposed to be from the Royal side but, in Meghan and Harry’s wedding the bridesmaids and page boys were from both the bride and groom's side.
6. Meghan was supposed to walk with her father according to the Royal protocol. But, she walked down the aisle with Prince Charles as her father was not well and is undergoing an operation.
7. Neither Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip nor brother Prince William wear wedding bands but, Harry will wear a platinum wedding band.
8. The couple broke the Royal protocol by holding hands throughout the ceremony.
