An Awe Moment During Parliament Debate
After New Zealand’s Prime Minister, the speaker of the country displayed some serious parenting skills during parliamentary debate and his act has touched everyone’s hearts online. As per the reports, the MP Tamati Coffey’s baby son was being cradled by Speaker Trevor Mallard in a video that's going viral.
On Wednesday, Mallard tweeted a picture of himself feeding the baby.
Normally the Speaker’s chair is only used by Presiding Officers but today a VIP took the chair with me. Congratulations @tamaticoffey and Tim on the newest member of your family. pic.twitter.com/47ViKHsKkA

Everyone in the chamber seemed to be less tense while you fed Tamati's lovely baby. There were smiles all round. I love this which doesn't happen anywhere else in the world. Thank you.

According to reports since he took over the house, Mallard has made some prominent changes to make parliament a more family-friendly space. The changes are very helpful for all the women MPs in New Zealand, they have the freedom to breastfeed on the floor
So proud that my daughter Alia is the first baby to be breastfed in the federal Parliament! We need more #women & parents in Parli #auspol pic.twitter.com/w34nxWxG0y
