International calls are not allowed
The country has their own personal phone connection and no one is allowed to make any international calls.
Internet access
Have a personal government-controlled intranet called “Kwangmyong” in which all the international websites are banned.
Watching foreign movies
The locals of North Korea are not allowed to see any film from outside as they could be punished for 10 years. People can only watch the local Korean news, channel, documentaries and movies.
Hairstyles
Men and women both can only keep a hairstyle among the ones which are approved by Kim Jong-un.
Sanitary Pads
Sanitary pads and tampons are not available in North Korea.
iPhone
The popular Apple iPhones are not available in the country, they have their own state-backed smartphones Pyongyang Touch and Arirang.
Western wear
Western wear inclusing jeans, dresses etc everything is strictly banned as they don’t support western culture and is against it.
Condoms
All types of birth control are prohibited in North Korea.
Can’t walk alone on streets
Tourists are not allowed to roam on the street without an escort. No matter where you are going the guide has to stay with you.
