James Corden Views on Fat Shaming is Winning Hearts

For quite a long time the issue of fat-shaming has become one of the most common problems in our society. Before making any false statement on body shape now, people think twice to say and recently even an American comedian Bill Maher became its target. A few days back in his show, he joked about fat-shaming and how it needed to “make a comeback.” Maher says, “We have gone to a place where fat is good. It’s pointing out that fat is unhealthy, that’s what’s bad. Fat-shaming doesn’t need to end. It needs to make a comeback.”

In its response, Corden said fat-shaming is just another form of bullying. “We’re using this term ‘fat-shaming.’ We have come up with a name for it. Let’s be honest, fat-shaming is just bullying. That is what is. It’s bullying,” said Corden, adding, “And bullying only makes the problem worse.” Corden also spoke about how fat-shaming triggers various psychological and mental issues.
His views immediately went viral and resulted in floods of comments by people praising him for being so positive and also for giving a bang on response to such an important matter.

It is valid, however, I think we need to clamp down on this "fat acceptance" movement. In 99% of cases, it is something you can control, & people need to be nudged to lose weight for health reasons. I don't know how to do that currently without it being labeled as "fat shaming."
