Super Snow Moon Lights Up Sky
Feb 20, 2019
Yesterday night sky gazers across the globe enjoyed watching the “super snow moon” which was the largest supermoon of 2019. February’s full moon is known as the “snow moon” as a result of the heavy snowfall that often occurs at that time of year. Check out the amazing pictures captured by people all around the world.
In some parts of the world, the moon appeared red because the light of the sun no longer directly illuminated the moon. And the Earth is passing between the moon and the sun.
Yesterday’s super moon was nicknamed Hunger Moon and it is the biggest and brightest super moon of the year.Bad weather and heavy snow made hunting for the moon difficult, so this Moon was also called the Hunger Moon.
