Dubai keeps setting new and breaking world records. Whether it is hosting the tallest building in the world or displaying the largest fireworks, Dubai has it all. And now there is one more addition to the list, Dubai-based artist Sacha Jafri has been awarded a Guinness World Record for making the largest art canvas in the world. Noted as- The Journey of Humanity, the brilliant work of art scales 17,176.6 square feet.
The artist worked 20 hours a day for 28 weeks to crate the masterpiece
British artist and philanthropist, Sacha Jafri, who is in Dubai, worked 20 hours a day for seven months to complete this magnificent art. He used 1,065 paintbrushes and a whopping 6,300 litres of paint.
Describing the painting, it is part of Sacha’s charitable initiative ‘Humanity Inspired’ – possibly one of the largest artistic and philanthropic initiatives in history.
Sacha made this painting in a ballroom-turned-art studio at Atlantis, the Palm. He spent around 28 weeks at Atlantis to finish this work. Speaking about the honour, Sacha said: “This is just the beginning of the journey. ‘Humanity Inspired’ and ‘The Journey of Humanity’ is much more than a painting – it is my initiative for true societal change through the hearts, minds and souls of the children of the world – a springboard for a better future for all humanity.”
