This pandemic has clearly changed the way weddings take place now. People have now shifted from big fat weddings to small and intimate functions. In recent times, we have witnessed weddings that were different and environment friendly. Some couples opted for minimalistic weddings that were very refreshing. Here is a list of couples who did an environment-friendly wedding:

Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi's wedding was a low-key one. It created a very important conversation about gender roles as they invited a priestess to officiate the ceremony.It was also an eco friendly wedding because there was no use of plastic or any generation of waste.

We loved the intimate wedding of our favorite stars, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Well, other than being a private celebration it was also an environmentally friendly event. They served food to their guests on tableware made of sugarcane fiber, stepping away from plastic and other forms of materials that are harmful to the environment.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli also took a great step. They invited their friends and well-wishers in the most unique way by sending them a sapling along with the invitation card and asking them to plant it. They got hitched in 2017.
