Shop Displays Mannequin with Wedding Gown on Wheelchair
You might have seen many beautiful dresses showcased on the mannequin in stores but have you ever seen it on a Wheelchair? Though it sounds weird but I am sure after seeing this picture your heart will melt and bring a smile on your face. Recently a photo from a shop in England went viral in which a Bridal dress was displayed on a dummy on a Wheelchair. The photograph was uploaded by a disabled artist with a caption “The new wedding shop in town has a wheelchair using mannequin and it shouldn’t be exciting but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen disability portrayed in a shop window,”.

I went and met Sarah @TheWhiteCollect and we had a great chat about how surreal it is to go viral online.

I’d love to see more representation of queer disabled people getting married and just existing—whether that’s within romantic relationships or not. @doodlebeth https://t.co/M3ZWtcqJab

Had to share mine. It was my mom's that she made herself in '77 and then did a few alterations for me. pic.twitter.com/ZvXWEmbdsB

I wish this had been around when we were planning our wedding. I'd have shown it to all those ladies at the one wedding show we went to: ...1/2

As a recently engaged wheelchair user this bought tears to my eyes... I’ve put off looking at dresses because of the fear of it not working with my chair/ it not being the whole ‘say yes to the dress’ experience. The inclusivity here is amazing, but also sad I’m so shocked by it.
