In these stressful times, all we need is some heartwarming stories that get us hope. This little girl who still believes in fairytales, magic, and fairie is exactly that! Kelly Victoria, a photographer based in LA, California—thought the same when she decided to share how she and her 4-year-old neighbor created a beautiful bond. The little girl made a fairy garden in quarantine

The gorgeous fairy garden had a little note attached about a girl who felt lonely in quarantine and “wanted to spread some cheer.” Not only did she spread cheer to her neighbors on her street, but to more than 390k people on Twitter, as well.

She decided to surprise the little girl by pretending to be Sapphire – a fairy that had decided to live in the pretty garden. She left her a message in a bottle saying she’d leave gifts if 3 tasks were completed:

The girl introduced herself as Eliana and passed the test! Kelly gifted her handmade dice and left a note for her parents with her contact information so they would know exactly who was corresponding with their daughter.

The two became pen pals of sorts exchanging letters pictures and gifts. The pair met in person when Eliana’s family had to move houses. They got tested for COVID-19 and Kelly wore pieces from an old elf costume to look like a fairy.

Doing this every night gave me purpose in a horribly painful and lonely time. I looked forward to my days again and I started ordering art supplies and little trinkets to leave her.

In the past month her mom sent me a text letting me know that they had closed escrow on a new house a little further away and would have to leave the fairy garden behind in the care of their neighbors. to include some support in my letters and told her I had to move as well so she’d feel like we were both going through it together. Her mom said it was helping her so much and they really wanted to try to see me somehow before they left.

parents did too to make sure we were all safe because I really needed to hug that girl) We got to sit and talk for about an hour and she asked me a million questions about what life is like as a fairy, some I had prepared and others I hadn’t.
