A decade long hunt to catch the Katherine region's biggest crocodile finally ended. Rangers were in hunt as there were rumors of a large dark tail often been spotted lurking near a local boat ramp. The giant crocodile will be transported to a farm in the Katherine region. However, The Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife website advises visitors to be "crocwise" as croc danger is real.
The crocodile is a male saltwater croc measuring 4.71 metres and was trapped by rangers in the Northern Territory town.
NT Parks and Wildlife rangers Chris Heydon and John Burke said a 600 kg crocodile that would be over 60 years in age was not as difficult to trap as one would think.

The captured crocodile was tightly bound to the cart. Its eyes were covered and mouth muzzled.
