Ways to Take Care of your Nails after Extension Removal

Jun 01, 2021

We all love nail extensions and the various design options that it offers. But let’s be honest, our natural nails no longer look the same after you get an extension removed. This is because a lot of buffing, gels, and other chemicals go into the process which can leave your nails weak and brittle. But here are some ways to take care of your nails after extension removal.

Keep nails short

After getting the extensions removed, make sure you cut your nails short. Your nails will keep growing naturally but these will not be healthy and strong.  Cutting your nails off regularly after the extension removal will help you get rid of all the dead nails.

Use nail oil

It is not a great idea to get back to nail paints soon after you get the extensions removed. So use oil after extension removal to improve the strength of your nails.

Don’t apply nail paint

Experts recommend keeping bare nails for some time after the removal of nail extensions.

Keep some gap before next extension

You might want to get the next design done, but keep calm and avoid getting a new one immediately. After you get the extensions removed, your natural nails need some time to get back healthy.

Keep them hydrated

Keeping your hands and nails hydrated is very important when they are weak. And for that, you need to moisturize your hands and drink lots of water.
