Translation: "Daddy. I'm your daddy. I love you. You're a beautiful girl. Your eyes are such a beautiful color, bright green! Just beautiful! What a cute smile! I love you. You're a cutie. That's a warm blanket. I love you. I love you. You're beautiful. Cute"

Thank you for tweeting this! This was too sweet of a moment not to share the translation with non American Sign Language users!

I remember that the consensus ~1980 was that newborns couldn't focus on anything for a few weeks or months or whatever. But I know what I saw when my daughter was 3 days old, giving me the side-eye. She was checking me out. (She still looks at me that way today, 39 years later). pic.twitter.com/pdNBlOAhNQ

Aw. The very best wishes to you and your lovely. I waited for a sibling to come home for nearly that long. I imagine you are so glad you have that stress behind you.

i have a lot of deaf friends. before they can speak, deaf/hearing babies can communicate with parents up to a year earlier when they use sign language with them.
