Sony to Launch Mini Air Conditioner Soon

When the heat waves hit us, we wish that we can carry an AC wherever we go. Well, this wish has come true as Sony has invented a new kind of air conditioner that you can wear with your clothes. The portable AC is called Reon Pocket.
The portable AC is smaller and lighter than a mobile phone. The device works through a small rear panel which passes cool breeze.

It is run by a lithium-ion battery while the temperature can be adjusted by smartphone using Bluetooth connection. It will support 5.0 Bluetooth.
The Reon Pocket can run up to 90 minutes after two hours of charging. A Peltier, the element used for car and wine coolers is used in it.
The mini AC is a part of a crowdfunding project in Tokyo, Japan. As of now, the product is only available in JapanThe device will come with a price tag of 14080 yen (INR 8992.6) and will be available in S, M and L sizes. A pocket is made inside the neck of the innerwear where the device can be fitted.
The idea behind mini AC is to keep its wearer cool they step outside.
