NEOWISE Comet's Special Appearance in US Man's Proposal Photo
Jul 24, 2020
The NEOWISE comet was recently discovered through the NEOWISE (Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) space telescope, and since then it has been the talk of the town as people waited to catch a glimpse of it through the eye.
A man living in Oregon, John Nicotera, decided to make use of the NEOWISE comet as a perfect setting to propose to his girlfriend Erica.
John calls himself a “space-junkie” and had been following updates about the comet, and planned a special proposal that would be remembered for generations to come!John took Erica to Old Forge, New York, near his family’s camp to see the comet. He then got in touch with his photographer friend Tim Leach. Then both of them decided to meet up along with their girlfriends so they could see the comet.
The couple was taking pictures against the background of the comet when John got down on one knee and proposed Erica for marriage. It was then when Tim captured the gorgeous moment! This NEOWISE comet was shot by my brother Ashish @livefirgun in a small village of Himachal Pradesh called Shoja.
