Indian Railways is Winning Hearts

Oct 01, 2019

It feels so good when someone goes beyond their duty to help anyone. In today’s time hardly anybody cares about others pain but few are still there who prove that humanity is alive. Recently a man named Sashwat from Varanasi posted a tweet regarding his concern for his mother Shila Pandey who was traveling on Ajmer–Sealdah Express. As the train was 12 hours late so he was not able to contact her and was anxious to know if she was “alright”.

The man tagged not only the official handles of the railway ministry but also Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in his tweet to draw attention to the passenger who was travelling in coach S5 on the train.

The Railway immediately responded him and asked for the PNR number and the contact number of the person.

Tagging DRM Asansol in West Bengal, the handle replied, “Matter is being forwarded to the concerned official.”

After sometime, DRM Asansol got in touch with the ticket checker in the train and made the passenger talk to her son.

This incidence was shared by Ministry of Railways and it resulted in floods of positive comments by the Netizens. Many praised the Railways for doing such a commendable job. Check out the people’s reactions below:
